Trick, Treat & Meet

Lavender Farms is looking for face painters to do simple face painting of animals (cat whiskers, butterfly,  paw print etc.) at their animal adoption event  on October 26th from 10am-4pm!

Join this amazing community event in the Jensen’s Community on October 31st.  Volunteers are needed to direct families that are trick-or-treating, and man the ‘spooky’ tent serving hot cocoa, apple cider and cookies!

HK Craft Fair - DECEMBER 6 & 7

The HK Craft Fair welcomes  80 crafters and 5 food trucks to the HK Middle School Gym and Cafeteria.

Many volunteers are needed to help with event coordination, vendor assistance, welcoming guests, set up and break down.

Killingworth Historical Society Archivist

Volunteers are needed to  assist in taking pictures of items, placing items in archival boxes after having been on display, and  recording items  online in the CT collections program.

Join the Haddam Sustainability Committee!
Help promote sustainable living by volunteering for recycling at the Haddam ballfields and plastics collection at the Transfer Station on weekends.

Card Angels

Who are the Card Angels? We make homemade cards with happy messages for those in cancer treatment centers and rehab/nursing homes.

Available tasks:

  1. Come to a meeting and make homemade cards.
  2. Help us with organizing materials
  3. Stamp sayings
  4. Making embellishments
  5. Put together kits
  6. Help review cards, count and put together deliveries

Volunteers are needed for various projects such as spreading wood chips/ sand, painting, raking, helping the Ranger with maintenance of buildings and camp property and trail maintenance.

Help maintain Haddam’s beautiful gardens by partnering with the Haddam Garden Club in the Spring, Summer and Fall.

Duties may include:
Raking, watering, deadheading, planting, trimming, or general maintenance of the garden; under the supervision of a Garden Club member.

Hope Alliance

Hope Alliance’s mission is to provide lifetime care for special needs cats that other organizations don’t have the time or the resources to care for.

Help is needed with yardwork and with fundraising activities such as bottle drives.
