Hike With A Mini

HKYFS May Mental Health Month Awareness Program

This fun morning is perfect for our early childhood and home-school kiddos and their families! Or anyone else!

Come enjoy a lovely hike at Parmelee with a lovely miniature horse as your guidee and friend. The short walk will be followed by a meet and greet and horse-themed craft.

Join us for a special Family Movie Night in celebration of National Prevention Week on May 16th at Parmelee Farm! The movie will begin at sunset, so bring your blankets, lawn chairs, and loved ones for an evening under the stars. Connected families are a powerful protective factor in youth development, and spending quality time together helps strengthen those bonds. Let’s build a stronger, healthier community—one movie night at a time!

Family Paint Night

Join us for a fun night out with your family! This family paint night will be taught by an instructor from CT Paint Parties and includes a pizza dinner and a super fun project to enjoy together!

Girls On The Run

Camp Girls on the Run is back! Please join us for a fun week of movement (some running but we keep it fun!), play, games, crafts, stories, and activities. GOTR is all about building strong friendships, gaining self-confidence, navigating challenges with support, learning skills, gaining strength, running, playing, and having a lot of fun. This fun week will be coached by Miss Alli from HKYFS, Ms. Rodbourn from HKIS, and three incredible high school cross country athletes and role models.

Teen Trailblazers

Join us all summer long for weekly adventures!

Open to 7th–10th graders, Teen Trailblazers is your chance to get out, explore, and have fun. Each week, we’ll head out on exciting trips, connect with friends, and make unforgettable memories. Whether you’re into outdoor fun, new experiences, or just want to hang out with a great group, this is the summer plan for you!

A Community Giveback Summer at HKYFS

HKYFS invites underclassmen in high school from the HK community to join us for volunteer hours by participating in our organized opportunities available this summer! This is a chance to register for planned service events to not only earn hours but make a difference in the community where you live!

Be You At The Barn

Join us for Be You at the Barn this summer- a weeklong half-day program bringing kids and horses together for growth, learning, and fun! Facilitated by our Director and Clinician, both certified in equine-assisted therapy and learning, this week is tailored to support participants in gaining life skills in resilience, confidence building, leadership, relationships, and more. Games, equine activities, crafts, adventure, and more! A fun summer week on the farm with a great herd of horses.
