Looking for a helping hand?
The HKYFS Job Bank connects local teens with community members who need a little extra help, while giving our teens a chance to build skills, gain experience, earn money or community service hours, and make a difference right here in our community.
Teens can be matched with a variety of opportunities, including yard work, lawn care, tutoring, mother’s helper, technology assistance, and more! Teens also have the option to add additional skills or jobs not listed. Community members can choose to offer paid work or community service hours, creating opportunities that benefit everyone.
Here’s how it works: both teens and community members complete a simple form to join the Job Bank. HKYFS serves as a referral service, helping connect the right teen with the right opportunity. Once a match is made, HKYFS will contact the teen in order to guide them through contacting their match! They will reach out directly to the community member, discuss the job, develop a plan, and work together to get the job done.
THE HKYFS Job Bank offers teens the chance to step up, gain confidence, learn and practice real world and social skills, and become an active part of their community. At the same time, community members get the helping hand they need from the next generation of local leaders.
