Start Strong Together is a free, interactive event designed to help children entering kindergarten and their families feel confident and excited about the transition to school. While children participate in fun, hands-on activities that build important kindergarten social skills, such as making friends, building independence, practicing self-help skills, and developing confidence—parents and caregivers will have the opportunity to connect with other families, ask questions about the kindergarten transition, and learn practical strategies to support their child’s social and emotional growth at home.
Families can choose to attend either Tuesday, August 18 or Thursday, August 20, from 4:00–5:00 PM at the playground at the old HES in Higganum.
Hosted by Youth & Family Services of Haddam-Killingworth in partnership with HK Youth Unplugged, this event is free, but registration is required. We are excited for you to join us and start strong together.
