SPARK: Talk. Connect. Explore.
Real conversations. Positive connections. New experiences.
SPARK is a twice-monthly after-school prevention program designed specifically for middle school students. Through a mix of meaningful conversations, hands-on activities, and fun experiences outside of school, SPARK gives students a place to connect with their peers, build confidence, strengthen healthy decision-making skills, and talk about the things that matter to them.
Each month includes two SPARK experiences. The first session is held after school at HKHS and focuses on conversation, connection, prevention, and activities in a relaxed environment. Bus transportation is available on HKHS activity days. The second session takes SPARK outside of the traditional meeting space for a fun activity or experience designed to strengthen friendships, encourage positive choices, and give students opportunities to try something new.
