Dear Friends of Haddam and Killingworth Youth and Families,
The holiday season is a time for caring and sharing but can be especially difficult for families facing financial challenges. We are asking you to consider joining in thinking ahead to the Holidays and the families in our community who may need a little extra help this year.
Last year we experienced your generosity with the Holiday Giving Program benefiting well over 100 Haddam and Killingworth children! They received holiday gifts, clothing, gift cards, and more! It was a moving experience to see the outpouring of thanks from the families who received help and equally moving to see how many generous community members supported this important initiative. We need your help!
If you, your family, church, civic group, or club are willing to sponsor a family or child, please contact us. There are several ways to help:
- “Adopt” a family and we will give you a list with items and sizes to purchase.
- Gift cards are extremely popular with older children and teens, as well as adults who can shop for the children in their lives.
- Make a general donation to HKYFS for the Holiday Giving program and we will decide best how to use the donation to match a family’s wish list.
Thank you in advance for your donations and for helping us spread the word. Our goal: Holiday joy in every home this coming December! Please contact our office to learn more @ 860.345.7498 or events@hkyfs.org so HKYFS can organize gifts and get them to their families before the Holiday. The deadline for supporting this initiative is December 11th so we can organize gifts for families to pickup.
