H-K Safe Home Pact
Get on the same page as your caring neighbors! Parents and guardians who sign H-K’s Safe Home Pact are pledging their homes will be places where young people will not have access to alcohol or other drugs, and that a responsible adult will properly supervise teen gatherings. More info...

In addition to the parent education workshops offered by HKYFS and our collection of books and pamphlets available for lending there are other educational opportunities available in our area:
Tri-Town
Youth Services which serves the towns of Chester, Deep River and Essex
has a variety of educational and youth development programs including
Parent support groups, pre-school programs, and Parenting Classes that
are available to non-residents too. For more information call 860-526-3600.
Middletown
Adult Education (registration available on-line) in cooperation with
the The Community Health Center's Family Wellness Center, offers programs
to help with communication skills, balancing the needs of children and
parents, and even a 20-week course called the Parent Leadership Training
Institute. Childcare is available for some programs and information can
be obtained by calling 860-347-6971 ext.3662.
